Target shooting and sanity

I know a few people who have guns, they caress them, drink themselves silly with the pistol on the tabletop, store ammo and go regularly target shooting. Not a single one of them is fully normal. Some are
nuthouse candidates. I also noticed that hunters, especially urban hunters, those who hunt for killing's sake and not for food are messed up.

Peter I of Russia hated hunters and hunting. But it looks that he was a great fan of target shooting. In his hobby shooting practice he preferred artillery over hand held firearms.
